About The Role

Build cross-platform apps in React Native and TypeScript that feel native on both iPhone and Android, and dive into Swift or Kotlin when the job needs it.

What you'll do

- Design, build and ship features in React Native and TypeScript for iOS and Android.
- Write and maintain native modules in Swift and Kotlin, including in-app purchases on both stores.
- Ship releases to the App Store and Google Play, and keep both builds healthy.
- Profile and fix performance problems: startup time, lists, animations and memory.
- Review code, mentor other engineers and help decide when to go cross-platform and when to go native.
- Work with our ASO and ads specialist on onboarding, paywalls and experiments.

What you bring
- 5+ years building mobile apps professionally,



including 3+ years of React Native in production.
- Strong TypeScript and React, and a good understanding of React Native's new architecture.
- Enough Swift and Kotlin to write a native module and debug a native crash.
- Experience releasing on both the App Store and Google Play.
- Explicit written communication: you explain your choices and write things down.

Nice to have
- Expo, EAS and over-the-air updates.
- Localizing apps in English and French.
- Education or exam-preparation apps.

Salary CA$160,000 – CA$190,000 base salary per year
