Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shift Supervisor to lead our team in a fast-paced retail environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of store operations. This role is vital in ensuring smooth daily operations, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of merchandising and sales performance.

The Shift

Supervisor will play a key role in supervising staff, managing inventory, and supporting overall store management efforts to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities

- Oversee daily store operations during assigned shifts, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company policies.
- Supervise and motivate team members to meet sales goals and provide outstanding customer service.
- Manage payroll, scheduling, and staffing needs to optimize workforce productivity.
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new employees to develop a strong team.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Monitor sales performance, analyze merchandising strategies, and implement promotional activities.
- Maintain accurate cash handling procedures, oversee POS transactions, and ensure proper pricing strategies.
- Coordinate purchasing and inventory management to prevent stock shortages or overstock situations.




- Conduct regular store audits to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
- Support marketing initiatives by promoting store events and engaging with the community.
- Lead by example in demonstrating excellent phone etiquette, organizational skills, and qualified appearance.

Skills

- Proven leadership and supervising experience in retail or similar environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate staff and interact effectively with customers.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases.
- Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and basic math skills.
- Experience with merchandising, pricing strategies, sales management, and retail management principles.
- Competence in recruiting, interviewing, training & development of staff.
- Organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and administrative tasks.
- Ability to manage time efficiently across multiple responsibilities while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
- Familiarity with marketing techniques and promotional activities within retail settings.
- Skills in budgeting, payroll processing, store management, and sales management are highly desirable.
