About Snow & Mow Inc.

Snow & Mow Inc. is a locally owned property maintenance company serving St. John’s and surrounding areas since 2013. We provide residential and commercial snow clearing services and operate a dedicated fleet of snow removal equipment.

We are looking for dependable, safety-conscious Snow Plow Operators to join our winter operations team. This position involves a combination of commercial parking lot snow clearing and residential driveway plowing using company pickup trucks equipped with front-mounted snow plows. Operators may also be required to operate in-bed salt spreaders.

Availability Requirements Candidates must be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for all snow events throughout the winter term.

Snow clearing is weather-dependent, and operators must be prepared to respond whenever snow events occur, including overnight, early mornings, weekends, and holidays. Snow events may require extended shifts and short-notice callouts.

This position requires a high level of flexibility, reliability, and commitment throughout the winter season. Candidates must be available to respond when required and remain available throughout their assigned winter term.

If you have other employment, business commitments, or scheduling restrictions that prevent you from being available for snow events at any time, this position may not be the right fit.

Job Responsibilities





- Operate a company pickup truck equipped with a front-mounted snow plow.
- Explicit commercial parking lots and residential driveways according to assigned routes and service requirements.
- Operate in-bed salt spreaders when required.
- Monitor changing weather and snow conditions throughout snow events.
- Complete equipment inspections and report mechanical issues, damage, or safety concerns.
- Operate equipment carefully around parked vehicles, buildings, landscaping, and other property features.
- Maintain communication with supervisors and follow established operating procedures.
- Ensure assigned properties receive reliable, thorough, and timely snow clearing.

Qualifications
- Valid driver's licence and an acceptable driving record.
- Previous snow plowing experience is preferred.
- Experience operating pickup trucks equipped with snow plows is a strong asset.
- Experience operating salt spreaders is an asset.
- Ability to operate a vehicle safely in challenging winter road conditions.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and awareness of surroundings.
- Ability to work outdoors in cold, snowy, and changing weather conditions.
- Availability to respond to snow events at any time, including overnight, weekends, and holidays.

Work Schedule and Compensation This is a seasonal, weather-dependent position running throughout the winter term, generally from November through April.

Compensation starts at $900 per week salary.

Operators must remain available 24/7 for snow events and be prepared for irregular hours, overnight callouts, and extended shifts when conditions require.
