We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Snow Plow Driver and/or Sidewalk Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and productive snow removal operations during winter weather conditions. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, as well as the ability to operate and maintain snow plow equipment effectively while under harsh weather conditions.
The Snow Plow
Operator will play a crucial role in maintaining clear roads and pathways for the community.
Duties
- Operate snow plow and/or sidewalk machine to clear roads, parking lots, and other designated areas of snow and ice.
- Perform routine maintenance on snow plow machinery, including checking fluid levels and ensuring all parts are functioning properly.
- Utilize hand tools and equipment for performing manual labour, when necessary.
- Monitor weather conditions and adjust operations accordingly to ensure timely snow removal.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate snow removal efforts efficiently.
- Maintain a clean work area and ensure all tools and equipment are stored properly after use.
Experience
- License: G2 minimum requirement
- Proven mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment effectively.
- Familiarity with operating snow plow and sidewalk machines; previous experience in landscape maintenance or snow plowing is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices while operating machinery.
