Advanced Yard Works Inc is seeking 2 casual (on-call) Snow Removal Technicians to join our busy winter team from now until April. This is a physically demanding position, working in cold, winter weather conditions. Depending on the snow, hours may range from early in the morning and/or may go until early in the evening, seven days a week. A shift could be 6-12 hours. Training and uniform is provided.

We are a local family-owned lawn care and snow services company providing exceptional customer service. For those interested, there is opportunity to transition into year-round employment on a casual, part-time or permanent basis.

Duties

- Clear snow and ice from residential and commercial properties
- Operate equipment including snowblower, snow broom, backpack blower, shovel
- Apply sand, rock chips or de-icing product as required
- Perform routine maintenance on winter machinery and tools




- Ensure safety protocols are always adhered to

Qualifications

- Dependable, hard worker with a good attitude
- Adaptable as you will need to be available on short notice
- Experience and mechanical knowledge are an asset
- Physically fit with ability to lift 50 lbs repetitively
- Valid driver's license in acceptable standing

Hours

- On-call, no guarantee of hours
- Shifts can be 6 - 12 hours
- Depending on snow, shifts vary from early morning and/or until the early evening
