Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Steel Framer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing and installing steel frameworks for commercial and residential buildings, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to safety standards. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprint reading, heavy lifting, and the use of various hand and power tools.

The Steel

Framer will work closely with project managers, architects, and other trades to deliver high-quality construction projects on time and within scope.

Responsibilities

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine framing requirements.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install steel frameworks accurately according to specifications.
- Operate heavy equipment and power tools safely to handle steel components.
- Perform concrete forming, drywall installation, siding, and concrete finishing as needed for project completion.
- Use welding techniques to join steel components when required.
- Assist with the setup and dismantling of scaffolding, ladders, and other temporary structures.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards.




- Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks efficiently and meet project deadlines.
- Conduct routine inspections of installed frameworks for stability and accuracy.

Skills

- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics, and construction drawings.
- Experience with concrete forming, drywall installation, siding, and restoration work.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and woodworking techniques.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry principles related to steel framing.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds or more).
- Familiarity with concrete finishing techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety standards.
- Construction experience with a background in framing or related trades is preferred.

This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects within a professional construction environment dedicated to quality craftsmanship and safety excellence. Experience not required.. Pay: $18.50-$40.00 per hour
