Job Summary

Sushi Mura Richmond is seeking an experienced and passionate Sushi Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality sushi dishes, supervising kitchen operations, and ensuring food safety standards are maintained. Duties

- Prepare and assemble sushi dishes with precision and creativity, adhering to authentic recipes and presentation standards.
- Supervise kitchen staff, including training current team members and managing daily kitchen operations.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure consistency and quality.
- Maintain strict food handling and safety protocols in compliance with health regulations.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
- Collaborate with restaurant management to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area at all times.




- Provide excellent food service by maintaining a professional attitude and supporting team members as needed.

Experience

- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Supervising or team management experience in a restaurant environment is highly desirable.
- Strong background in the food industry, particularly in Japanese cuisine or sushi preparation.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures.
- Leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Familiarity with restaurant management operations, including inventory control and staff coordination.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences.
