IAM & Backup Analyst
Location: Etobicoke, ON (Hybrid – 2 days onsite/week)
Contract: 12 months, with potential for extension
Industry: Telecommunications
Pay: $45–$49/hr T4, depending on experience
About the Opportunity
We're hiring two motivated IAM & Backup Analysts to support a telecommunications organization's IT infrastructure, identity management, and backup/recovery operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for junior-to-intermediate IT professionals looking to expand their technical skills across identity and access management (IAM), cloud technologies, and enterprise backup solutions.
We're looking for individuals who are technically curious, proactive, and eager to learn. While hands-on technical experience is important, a strong foundation in IT, problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to grow are equally valuable.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assist with installing, configuring, maintaining, and migrating IAM and security solutions, including Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), CyberArk, ManageEngine, or similar technologies.
- Support user access management, account provisioning, permissions, and identity security processes.
- Monitor backup systems, review backup job statuses, troubleshoot failures, and assist with data recovery activities.
- Work with senior technical team members to investigate and resolve infrastructure and security-related issues.
- Support ongoing improvements to IT systems, backup procedures, and identity management processes.
- Maintain technical documentation, track incidents, and collaborate with cross-functional IT teams.
What We're Looking For
- Approximately 1–5 years of relevant IT experience,
including co-op placements or internships.
- Degree, diploma, or relevant coursework in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- Foundational knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems administration, identity/access management, or backup and recovery processes.
- Exposure to Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure, or similar technologies.
- Strong technical troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive, cooperative mindset with a genuine interest in learning new technologies.
Nice to Have
- Experience with CyberArk, ManageEngine, or other IAM/security tools.
- Exposure to enterprise backup and recovery platforms.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Relevant technical certifications or hands-on IT co-op experience.
You do not need experience with every technology listed to be considered. We're interested in candidates with a solid technical foundation and the motivation to continue developing their skills.
If you're looking to build on your IT experience while gaining exposure to enterprise IAM, cloud infrastructure, and backup technologies, we'd love to connect!
