Snow & Mow Inc. is a locally owned property maintenance company serving St. John’s and surrounding areas. We provide residential snow clearing services using dedicated equipment and established routes to keep driveways accessible throughout the winter season.

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Tractor Operator to join our residential snow clearing team for the winter term.

What We Offer

Availability Requirements
- Must be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during snow events throughout the winter term
- Must be available for overnight, early morning, weekend, and holiday shifts
- Must be able to respond to short-notice callouts
- Must be prepared for extended shifts during significant snow events
- Must have reliable personal transportation to and from Snow & Mow’s equipment yard in the east end of St. John’s, as well as assigned residential routes and worksites when required.

Responsibilities
- Operate a 60 HP tractor equipped with a rear-mounted snow blower to clear residential driveways
- Follow assigned routes and complete scheduled properties efficiently and safely
- Maneuver carefully around vehicles, buildings, garage doors, retaining walls, fences, landscaping, and other obstacles




- Operate the tractor and snow blower safely in changing winter weather and visibility conditions
- Manage snow placement to avoid blocking access or creating unnecessary buildup where possible
- Complete pre-operation equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns, damage, or mechanical issues
- Follow company procedures, customer-specific instructions, and supervisor directions
- Communicate route progress, service concerns, and equipment issues to the supervisor
- Assist with other snow clearing duties as required

Qualifications
- Must hold any required licence or certification for operating the tractor and snow removal equipment
- Previous tractor operating experience strongly preferred
- Experience operating a rear-mounted snow blower is a robust asset
- Ability to maneuver equipment safely in confined residential driveways
- Strong awareness of property boundaries, vehicles, landscaping, fences, and other potential hazards
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Must have reliable personal transportation to the Snow & Mow yard in the east end of St. John’s
- Must be available for the full winter term and required snow events

Work Environment This position involves outdoor work during snowstorms, overnight shifts, freezing temperatures, and changing winter conditions. Operators must be comfortable working independently, navigating residential properties, and operating equipment safely during extended snow events.

Careful operation and attention to detail are essential to protect customer property and maintain Snow & Mow’s service standards.
