We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport goods to various destinations. This role requires a solid focus on safety, punctuality, and professionalism, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of vehicle operation and customer service.
Duties
- Safely operate heavy trucks and commercial vehicles over designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods during transit.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify any maintenance or safety issues.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and other required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules or issues encountered during routes.
- Assist with heavy lifting when loading or unloading cargo to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to transportation safety and compliance.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle operated.
- Proven experience driving heavy trucks or commercial vehicles, with a strong emphasis on safe driving practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of loading/unloading processes.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently across multiple routes.
- Physical stamina to handle long hours on the road and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy items when necessary.
Pay: $21.00-$22.00 per hour Work Location: On the road
