Hi! I’m a single dad to a wonderful 10-year-old daughter, Maddy. I have a busy executive career that involves a demanding schedule and occasional business travel, so I’m looking for someone dependable, caring, and proactive to help bring a little more balance and consistency to our weekly routine.

**License and Vehicle a must**

Maddy’s mom and I share parenting responsibilities on a fixed 50/50 schedule. I’m a very involved dad, and I’m hoping to find someone who can be a positive, consistent presence in Maddy’s life while also helping with some of the day-to-day responsibilities of a busy household.

Schedule & Hours

The position offers approximately 10–12 guaranteed hours per week, with the following schedule:

Monday mornings: 7:00–9:00 AM, every other week, for school drop-off.
Monday afternoons: 3:00–7:00 PM, weekly, for school pickup and after-school care.
Tuesday mornings: 7:00–9:00 AM, weekly, for school drop-off.
Tuesday afternoons: 3:00–7:00 PM, weekly, for school pickup and after-school care.
Wednesday mornings: Occasional 7:00–9:00 AM coverage when business travel requires it.

There may also be opportunities for limited Friday or weekend hours.

Because I occasionally travel for business, there may also be opportunities for overnight childcare in our home. This would involve staying with Maddy, maintaining her regular evening and morning routines, and ensuring she gets to school the following day.

Overnight care would be infrequent, arranged as far in advance as possible, and compensated separately.





Responsibilities

School pickup and morning drop-off
Spending quality time with Maddy and supporting her daily routine
Preparing simple meals and helping with dinner
Light housekeeping, laundry, and general household organization
Occasional additional childcare as mutually agreed

The Ideal Person

I’m looking for an experienced female caregiver, who is warm, responsible, engaging, and genuinely enjoys spending time with children. Someone who is mature, trustworthy, and comfortable taking initiative without needing constant direction.

A valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and clean driving record are key, as school transportation will be part of the role. Previous childcare experience and references are preferred.

We’re a pretty relaxed household. I value open communication, mutual respect, reliability, and a good sense of humour.

Compensation

Competitive hourly compensation based on experience, with approximately 10–12 guaranteed hours per week. Additional hours and overnight arrangements would be compensated separately.

Ultimately, I’m not simply looking for someone to watch Maddy for a few hours each week. I’m hoping to find someone who becomes a familiar, trusted part of our routine.
