We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Forklift Operator to join our distribution team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling warehouse operations, including order picking, inventory management, and material movement using a sit-down forklift. This role requires mechanical knowledge, attention to safety, and the ability to manually lift and move heavy items without incident.

Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts to move materials and products throughout the warehouse
- Perform order picking accurately
- Accurately receive incoming loads and verify outgoing loads using shipping/receiving best practices
- Load and unload goods safely, ensuring proper stacking and storage
- Conduct routine inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs
- Assist with inventory management by organizing stock locations and assisting with cycle counts
- Use basic math skills for measuring, counting, and verifying quantities during order fulfillment
- Handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently to meet daily operational demands
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts
- Mechanical knowledge related to forklift operation and maintenance is preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for order processing
- Strong attention to safety procedures and protocols in a warehouse setting
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods during shifts
- Prior experience with order picking and warehouse management is desirable
- High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certifications for forklift operation are a plus but not required
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
