Overview

We are seeking skilled and motivated Welders to join our growing manufacturing team at Westridge Iron Ltd.

This position involves welding, fitting, fabricating, and assembling steel components for new crushing equipment, custom-built machinery, and heavy industrial applications. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding and fabrication, be comfortable working from drawings, and take pride in producing quality work.

We welcome welders with varying levels of experience, with responsibilities assigned based on individual skills and qualifications.

Responsibilities

- Perform production and structural welding using MIG (GMAW), flux-core (FCAW), and stick (SMAW) welding processes.
- Measure, cut, prepare, fit, tack, weld, and assemble steel components according to drawings and specifications.
- Fabricate new crushing equipment, structural assemblies, custom components, and equipment modifications.
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, welding symbols, and work instructions.
- Perform fitting, layout,



and assembly work according to experience and skill level.
- Inspect welds, dimensions, and alignment to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Complete assigned work within scheduled production hours while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Identify and communicate material shortages, fabrication issues, or drawing discrepancies.
- Perform equipment repairs, reinforcement, and wear-part welding as required.
- Operate welding equipment, cutting tools, grinders, and material-handling equipment safely.
- Maintain accurate records of labour, job progress, and completed work.
- Work closely with other welders, fabricators, engineers, and manufacturing personnel.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and protected work environment.

Experience

- Previous welding experience in manufacturing, structural steel, heavy equipment, or industrial fabrication is preferred.

Pay: $28.00-$40.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
