At Knox Contracting Group, we're looking for an experienced Working Site Foreperson who's just as comfortable swinging a hammer as they are running a job site.

We're not looking for someone who wants to stand around pointing fingers. We want a hands-on leader who takes pride in their craftsmanship, leads by example, and knows how to keep a construction project moving.

What You'll Be Doing

This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll work alongside your crew while helping coordinate day-to-day construction activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Performing hands-on carpentry work, including framing, forming, finishing, renovations, and general construction.
- Leading and working alongside carpenters, apprentices, and labourers.
- Coordinating daily site activities to keep projects on schedule and running efficiently.
- Reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and details.
- Ensuring workmanship meets Knox's quality standards.
- Coordinating subcontractors, deliveries, materials, and equipment.
- Identifying potential problems early and helping develop practical solutions.
- Maintaining clean, organized, and safe job sites.
- Communicating regularly with Project Managers and Site Superintendents.
- Completing daily site reports, time tracking, and project updates using Buildertrend.




- Taking ownership of the work and ensuring tasks are completed properly the first time.

What We're Looking For First and foremost, you need to be a great carpenter.

We're looking for someone with a broad range of construction experience who can confidently tackle just about anything thrown their way.

The ideal candidate will have:

- 5+ years of hands-on carpentry and construction experience.
- Strong experience in both rough and finish carpentry.
- Experience with residential and/or commercial construction.
- Previous experience leading a small crew or acting as a lead carpenter or foreperson.
- The ability to read drawings and work independently.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to plan work ahead.
- A solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
- A commitment to safety, quality, and getting the job done right.
- A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
