Hello Friends Childcare is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and compassionate Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our team.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with fellow educators to support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development while maintaining a positive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, organize, and implement developmentally appropriate, play-based learning activities.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment that supports children's individual needs and interests.
- Observe and document children's development, learning experiences, and milestones.
- Encourage positive social interactions, independence, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
- Establish positive and professional relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Maintain open and respectful communication with parents and guardians regarding children's daily experiences and development.
- Supervise children and ensure their health, safety, and well-being at all times.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment.




- Follow all applicable BC Child Care Licensing Regulations, health and safety requirements, and centre policies.
- Collaborate with team members to support daily routines, classroom planning, and program development.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Valid BC Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certificate or higher (ITE).
- Valid First Aid certification appropriate for childcare settings.
- Clear criminal record check in accordance with BC childcare licensing requirements.
- Knowledge of BC's Early Learning Framework and play-based learning principles.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Experience working in a licensed childcare facility is considered an asset.
- A patient, dependable, flexible, and positive attitude.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
