Join a team-oriented team focused on transformer repair. Assist skilled tradespeople and support shipping and receiving while gaining hands-on experience with tools, equipment, and procedures.
Starting salary: $31.53 per hour
Schedule: Rotational shifts every two weeks: Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.; and Monday to Thursday, 3:30 p.m.–2:00 a.m.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Assist with transformer repair operations under the direction of a supervisor or repairperson.
- Perform basic mechanical and logistical tasks according to established procedures.
- Operate forklifts and cranes when required.
- Transport materials and equipment using a shop truck.
- Support shipping and receiving as needed.
- Keep work areas clean and organized,
and dispose of garbage and recycling according to local environmental standards.
- Label and store dismantled materials accurately.
- Monitor dry-air pressure on stored units.
- Support continuous improvement and identify safety or quality issues within the scope of the role.
Your Background
- High school diploma.
- Experience in a semi-skilled trade.
- Ability to read drawings and bills of material.
- Comfort with physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Work-at-heights training, a forklift licence, or a MEWP licence is an asset.
