Position Overview

Mercedes-Benz Langley is currently seeking a General ShopHelper to join our team. Reporting to the Service Manager, this rolesupports the service department by ensuring the shop, equipment, and vehiclesare maintained to the highest standards. The General Shop Helper plays a keyrole in delivering operational efficiency and contributing to a safe,organized, and customer-focused workplace. This is an excellent opportunityfor someone looking to start or grow a career in the automotive industry.

The expectedpayfor this position is $20.00 - $21.00 per hour.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of theservice shop, bays, and surrounding work areas




- Assist technicians and service staff withgeneral shop tasks and vehicle movement
- Wash and detail customer and inventory vehiclesas required
- Ensure tools, equipment, and service areas areproperly maintained and stored
- Shuttle vehicles within the dealership andassist with lot organization
- Support receiving, stocking, and organizingparts and shop supplies
- Dispose of waste and hazardous materials inaccordance with safety and environmental regulations
- Assist with general maintenance duties and minorfacility upkeep
- Adhere to workplace health and safety standardsat all times
- Provide support to Service Advisors and otherdepartments as needed

Qualifications Required

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in automotive or generallabour roles is considered an asset
- Valid driver’s license with a clean drivingrecord
- Strong attention to detail and commitment toquality work
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment andmanage multiple tasks
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive andprofessional attitude
- Good communication skills, both verbal andwritten
- Ability to lift and move heavy items and performphysical tasks throughout the day
- Self-motivated with the ability to workindependently with minimal supervision
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
