Become a Day Camp Counsellor at the YMCA of Northeastern Ontario's summer program. Join our vibrant team in Sudbury, Espanola, or Elliot Lake to deliver enriching activities.
This full-time summer contract role entails working under the Supervisor of Recreational Programming. You will plan and implement engaging programs for children aged 3 to 12 years. Success as a Day Camp Counsellor requires robust communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks while fostering a safe and enjoyable environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging daily programs for participants
• Supervise and actively engage in group activities
• Apply behavior management techniques with participants




• Ensure participant safety by following established practices
• Communicate daily with parents and maintain attendance tracking
Requirements:
• Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) preferred
• Experience leading group activities with children
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Current Standard First Aid and CPR C certification
• Satisfactory Police Record with Vulnerable Sector Check
