About the Role

Our client, a highly reputable holistic wellness centre in Kimberley, Northern Cape , is seeking a Senior Massage Therapist with advanced specialization in Myofascial Release. This role is for a seasoned practitioner who is passionate about pain management, injury recovery, and improving clients' overall physical well-being. You will be responsible for providing expert therapeutic massage and myofascial release treatments, conducting client assessments, and developing personalized treatment plans. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of anatomy, physiology, and various bodywork modalities, with a strong focus on the John F. Barnes Myofascial Release Approach or similar. You will work closely with other wellness practitioners to offer integrated care. Key Responsibilities

- Perform a variety of therapeutic massage techniques, including deep tissue, sports massage, Swedish, and specialized myofascial release.
- Conduct thorough client assessments to identify areas of tension, pain, and dysfunction.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address specific client needs and goals.
- Apply myofascial release techniques effectively to address restrictions and improve mobility.
- Educate clients on their condition, treatment plan, and self-care strategies.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including session notes and progress tracking.
- Ensure a clean, safe,



and relaxing treatment environment in compliance with health standards.
- Collaborate with other therapists and healthcare professionals to optimize client care.
- Stay current with continuing education requirements and industry best practices.
- Manage appointment scheduling and ensure efficient use of treatment time.
- Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with clients.

Requirements

- Accredited Diploma or Certificate in Massage Therapy.
- Professional registration with a recognized massage therapy association in South Africa.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Massage Therapist.
- Advanced training and certification in Myofascial Release (e.g., John F. Barnes method) or equivalent.
- In-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and pathology.
- Excellent palpation skills and the ability to assess musculoskeletal issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with empathy and a client-centered approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Must be based in or able to commute regularly to Kimberley, Northern Cape.
