Job Title: Plant Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Plant Operator to operate electrochemical processing equipment and ensure the efficient running of a production plant located in Delta, BC, Tilbury. The role involves controlling and monitoring process equipment to produce battery‑grade lithium chemicals, commissioning the new production facility, preparing and handling chemical batches, operating various unit processes, and resolving operational issues as they arise.

Work Environment

The work environment includes rotational shifts: Day Shift (1st) Monday to Thursday 5:45am to 6:00pm and Night Shift (3rd) Monday to Thursday 5:45pm to 6:00am. Each shift is paid for 11.75 hours, including a 30-minute paid break. Overtime is payable after 12 hours in a day (double-time), and after 80 hours in a fortnight (time-and-a-half).

Responsibilities

- Maintain a strong commitment to safety and environmental standards.
- Monitor plant operations using SCADA, HMI systems, and field instrumentation.
- Perform start up, shutdown, and routine operation of processing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve process and equipment issues.
- Support maintenance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate operational logs and records.
- Assist in training and cross‑training team members.

Essential Skills

- 1 to 3 years of experience in chemical manufacturing or industrial plant operations.
- Experience operating and monitoring process equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to read and follow SOPs, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Solid math and technical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.




- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends.
- Excellent communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Experience with electrochemical systems, water treatment, or crystallization processes.
- Hands‑on experience with SCADA or HMI systems such as Ignition.
- Previous exposure to commissioning or startup of industrial facilities.
- Experience working with acids, bases, and chemical batch preparation.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting and maintaining industrial process equipment.
- Experience working in fast‑paced or high‑growth manufacturing environments.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Delta, BC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $43.27/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge,



geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Delta,BC.
