The Nova Scotia Provincial Housing Agency seeks a Payroll Coordinator within Corporate Services. Reporting to the Payroll Supervisor, you will collect, verify, and process payroll information while maintaining employee lifecycle data. The work requires applying policies, procedures, labour standards, and benefit requirements consistently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process comprehensive biweekly payroll accurately and on time
- Maintain appointments, transfers, leaves, promotions, terminations, and time entries
- Adjust vacation and illness entitlements according to policy
- Apply collective agreements, regulations,
and labour standards requirements
- Respond to employee payroll and benefit enquiries
Requirements:
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field
- Solid attention to detail and excellent data entry skills
- Effective organizational and time management abilities
- Confidential, discreet, and interpersonal approach
- Ability to manage pressure and tight deadlines
