Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Operate dump trucks weighing over 4,500 kg to transport gravel, sand, soil, construction debris, and other bulk materials to and from job sites
- Load and unload materials using the dump truck's hydraulic system; ensure cargo is properly secured and distributed within legal weight limits
- Plan routes and meet delivery and project schedules
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, and fluid levels
- Complete logbooks, trip records, and all required documentation
- Communicate with dispatch, site supervisors, and loader operators using two-way radios and mobile phones
- Comply with all provincial and federal transportation regulations and company safety policies
- Perform emergency roadside repairs if necessary

Requirements

- Education: Completion of secondary high school
- Language:



English
- Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience operating dump trucks or heavy transport trucks

Licences & Certifications

- Valid Class 3 (or Class 1) licence
- Air brake endorsement (or equivalent)
