Located in Langford, British Columbia, our family is looking for a reliable, caring, and engaging nanny to provide occasional after-school childcare. We're hoping to find someone who enjoys spending time with children and can provide a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment. This is a casual, part-time position that is needed approximately every 4 to 8 weeks when one parent is required to travel for work. The other parent works as an emergency responder and is not available immediately after school, so we are looking for someone dependable who can help during these times. We typically need support for 3 to 5 consecutive weekdays. The first dates we are seeking coverage for are Monday, November 30 through Friday, December 4 (5 days). We expect to need similar support occasionally throughout the year and would love to build a longer-term relationship with a nanny or babysitter. Responsibilities include picking up our wonderful 7-year-old son from school and walking (about 15 minutes) or driving (about 3 minutes) him home, helping him prepare a snack, supporting him as he gets started on homework,
and spending time with him until his father arrives home with his 4-year-old sister approximately 2.5 hours later. On Tuesdays, he attends swimming lessons from 4:30
- 5:00 p.m., which are a 10-minute walk from our home. Our son is a delightful and curious second-grader who genuinely enjoys spending time with adults who like to talk, play, and learn alongside him. We hope to find someone who can build a positive relationship with him and become a trusted part of our family's support network.
