We are looking for a Fixed Asset Accountant to support our Manufacturing client in Toronto, Ontario through a Long-term Contract assignment. This role combines day-to-day fixed asset accounting with project-related support, making it ideal for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving setting. Manage fixed asset accounting activities, including additions, disposals, transfers, depreciation, and reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate capital asset records and help ensure balances are properly reflected in financial reporting.
- Support ongoing finance project work by reviewing, organizing, and preparing asset data for system loading and validation.
- Perform detailed analysis in Excel to clean large datasets, investigate discrepancies, and improve data accuracy.
- Work closely with finance, procurement, and operations teams to gather information and resolve fixed asset issues efficiently.
- Assist with period-end and year-end activities related to fixed assets, ensuring deadlines and reporting requirements are met.
- Proven experience in fixed asset accounting and capital asset management.




- Strong background working with high-volume data and advanced Excel spreadsheets.
- Ability to balance routine accounting responsibilities with project-based deliverables.
- Solid understanding of reconciliations, financial controls, and period-end processes.
- An accounting designation is considered an asset.
