Position: Cook 2 Reports To: Executive Sous Chef OUR COMPANY Parq Casino – Dive into the excitement at downtown Vancouver’s only casino At Parq Vancouver, you can find a beautiful casino with high-end salons, restaurants, entertainment, bars, patios, and hotels all under one roof. OVERVIEW Reporting to the Sous Chef and Executive Sous Chef, the Cook 2 will is responsible for preparing and executing high quality Asian/Canadian cuisine for the Koi Noodle Bar and VIP players. Cook 2’s are responsible for ensuring high standards in taste, preparation, and consistency as per the standardized recipes and portion size while maintaining the safety and cleanliness of the kitchens. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Accountable for upholding and developing standards of cleanliness, timing, uniform, grooming, production, food quality, and consistency
• Maintains inventory on all food products and monitors daily preparation and production of food
• Has the knowledge and skills to train all kitchen positions, systems, and use of equipment
• Must be knowledgeable of all promotions and events for the week/month
• Manages the kitchen operation and upholds all policies, and operating procedures
• Responsible for providing professional and exceptional customer service in accordance with established company standards
• All other job duties assigned QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Ability to succeed in a team environment
• Demonstrated excellence in customer service
• Excellent Written and Oral Communication Skills
• Excellent organizational skills and highly proficient at multi-tasking




• Proficiency in high-heat Wok cooking techniques, including temperature control, tossing, and stir-frying.
• Experience operating commercial Asian kitchen equipment, including high-pressure wok burners, large-scale steam cabinets, and industrial rice cookers.
• Deep understanding of traditional Asian ingredients, and recipes, flavor profiles, sauces, spices, and proper preparation methods
• Minimum 2 years’ Asian Cooking experience
• Asian Professional Cooking Diploma an asset
• Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook an asset
• Respectful approach and demeanor
• Willingness to learn new skills and techniques
• Flexible

as Parq is a 24 hour operation CERTIFICATES AND/OR LICENSES REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to obtain a valid GPEB registration
• Ability to complete all BCLC required trainings
• Food Protected Certification
• Serving it Right Certification PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Able to lift, handle, and transport materials that are over 20lbs
• Required to sit, stand and walk during
