Join the Waterloo Region District School Board as Before and After School Support (B.A.S.S.) staff. Work collaboratively with a Designated Early Childhood Educator to enhance the play-based learning experience for students in junior kindergarten to grade 6.

This long-term occasional position focuses on fostering positive interactions among children, parents, and staff within the Before and After School program. You'll support children's exploration and self-regulation in a safe, inclusive setting. Your role emphasizes communication with parents and adherence to licensing standards while cultivating an anti-oppressive culture.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist DECE in managing extended day classrooms
- Facilitate positive interactions among students and families




- Support child-initiated activities and play
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and licensing standards
- Communicate effectively with parents about children's progress

Requirements:

- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Experience supervising and supporting children
- Valid First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- Commitment to an inclusive environment
