Design HVAC controls and troubleshoot BAS systems as a Senior Building Automation Technician working on construction sites in Ottawa.
The HTS Controls Group seeks a Senior BAS Technician to develop, design, and deliver building automation and controls solutions. You will produce HVAC DDC from engineered drawings, validate system functionality, and complete commissioning. The work requires communication with subcontractors, trades, and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce project-specific HVAC DDC from engineered shop drawings
- Validate system functionality and troubleshoot operational problems
- Complete BAS setup, commissioning, and system diagnostics
- Troubleshoot wiring, hardware, configuration, programming, and performance issues
- Coordinate jobsite trades and report progress to Project Managers
Requirements:
- Controls Systems degree or equivalent education
- Eight years' HVAC and BAS field experience
- Tridium Niagara knowledge and skills are an asset
- Robust documentation and communication skills
- Valid driver's license in good standing
