Operate Caterpillar haul trucks at BW Gold's Blackwater Mine site in central British Columbia on a two weeks on, two weeks off rotation.
Reporting to the Supervisor – Mining, the Equipment Operator 4 transports raw material from the mine. The work requires haul truck experience, safety awareness, equipment inspections, and accurate documentation. Permanent employment is available at the Blackwater Mine site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Caterpillar 793 and 785 haul trucks
- Transport raw material from the mine safely
- Inspect equipment and identify mechanical issues
- Monitor performance and report maintenance needs
- Complete daily logs and required documentation
Requirements:
- Minimum two years operating haul trucks or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations
- Ability to work night shifts and outdoor conditions
- Ability to climb equipment and lift up to 50 pounds
