Support operating room procedures at Oak Valley Health through sterile technique, surgical equipment preparation, and organized supply management. Rotating shifts span days, evenings, and nights.
As a Surgical Systems Technician, you will work closely with the inter-qualified team in the Operating Room. Your responsibilities include managing sterile and high-level disinfected supplies, preparing procedure rooms, and assembling specialized equipment. The position requires knowledge of surgical instrumentation, reprocessing equipment, and sterile technique.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stock and verify sterile storage supplies, procedure rooms, and anaesthesia carts
- Order and check procedural case carts
- Maintain departmental general supplies and linen
- Prepare procedure rooms between cases and assist with turnover
- Assemble, prepare, and disassemble specialized procedural equipment
Requirements:
- Medical Device Reprocessing program or MDRD certification
- Recent MDRD experience and appropriate five-year recertification
- Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and reprocessing equipment
- Excellent organization, prioritization, communication, and collaboration skills
- Flexibility for weekday, evening, weekend, holiday, and overnight shifts
