Compass is recruiting for a Senior Accountant, Data Center Operations to own the accounting for an assigned portfolio of data center buildings and leases. This role partners closely with site leaders, customers, vendors, FP&A;, Lease Administration, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and other accounting teams to ensure operations are accurately recorded, billed, recovered, and reported. The ideal candidate combines solid property accounting expertise with an ownership mindset and an interest in using technology, AI,



and automation to build scalable processes in a growing organization.

Responsibilities

- Own operational accounting for an assigned portfolio of data center buildings and leases, ensuring complete, accurate, and timely recognition, recoveries, and reporting.
- Lead annual CAM reconciliations and translate lease terms, including escalators, caps, floors, exclusions, gross-ups, and utility pass-throughs, into accurate billing, recoveries, and revenue recognition.
- Calculate monthly power and utility billings and resolve billing, recovery, and reporting questions for customers and site operations leaders.
- Lead the property month-end close by reviewing automated journal entries and reconciliations, preparing judgment-based entries, and completing balance sheet reconciliations.
