The Rail Load-Out Assistant supports rail operations at a canola processing facility. You will position railcars, load product, monitor conveyors and bins, and adjust loading systems. The work supports food safety, housekeeping, operational reliability, production, and shipment goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Move railcars and load product safely and accurately
- Operate shuttle wagons, loaders, skid steers, and bobcats
- Monitor conveyors, bins, legs, motors, and control systems
- Maintain logs, records, shift reports, and loading reports
- Maintain clean, safe tracks and surrounding work areas
Requirements:
- One to two years’ rail yard experience considered an asset
- Mechanical aptitude for hands-on operational tasks
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial workplace
- Physical ability to work long shifts safely
