Operate a MacLean Bolter in Matachewan, Ontario, supporting underground development with mechanized ground support and safe equipment operation. Work a 7-on, 7-off rotation. Technica seeks qualified Development Miners for several long-term development positions. You will inspect headings, scale loose rock, install primary and secondary ground support, and recondition underground drifts. The work also includes other underground development and support duties when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete pre-operational inspections of the mechanized bolter
- Inspect headings and scale loose rocks safely
- Operate the MacLean Bolter in development headings
- Recondition existing underground drifts and headings
- Support LHD operation, service advancement, and mechanical installations
Requirements:
- Five years of underground development experience
- Basic Underground Hard Rock Mining Common Core or equivalent
- Underground Specialty module U0018
- Jackleg and stoper experience considered an asset
