Provide autonomous mental health care with psychiatric assessment and harm reduction expertise through COAST outreach in Hamilton. Work full time across community settings. The Nurse Practitioner supports children, youth, and adults experiencing mental health concerns. This autonomous provider collaborates with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, community partners, patients, and loved ones. The position includes clinical practice, education, consultation, treatment recommendations, and coverage within the Addictions portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments for children and youth
- Provide low barrier care through community outreach
- Deliver pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions
- Participate in education, consultation, and treatment planning




- Support program evaluation and research with the Boris Centre

Requirements:
- Current Ontario RN Extended Class registration and nurse practitioner certification
- Master’s degree in nursing and Primary Health Care
- Minimum five years’ mental health clinical experience
- Current BCLS/HCP certification and valid driver’s license
- Expertise in psychiatric assessment, substance use, and harm reduction Apply advanced nursing knowledge, psychiatric assessment, and harm reduction practice as a Nurse Practitioner with Hamilton’s COAST.
