Diesel, hydraulics, and electrical expertise drive field repairs for Herc Rentals equipment in Fort McMurray, Alberta, on a seven-on, seven-off schedule. As a Journeyman Off-Road Field Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic, you will maintain Herc Rentals’ fleet at active job sites. The work includes preventative maintenance, advanced diagnostics, field repairs, service reporting, and customer contact. You will support engines, DC electrical, propane, hydraulic, fuel, DPF, DEF, aerial, and lithium systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain preventative maintenance schedules at active job sites
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and field services
- Diagnose engines, hydraulic, electrical, and fuel systems




- Reprogram control modules using laptop or tablet tools
- Document service visits, repairs, work orders, and parts

Requirements:
- Journeyman Mechanic Off Road Certificate or Red Seal HET
- At least three years’ hands-on aerial equipment experience
- Valid Class 5 licence and clean recent driver’s abstract
- Ability to work seven days on, seven days off
- Ability to work indoors, outdoors, and lift 50 pounds Use diesel, hydraulics, electrical diagnostics, and repair expertise to keep Herc Rentals equipment operating safely onsite.
