As a Carrier Capacity Specialist, you will identify, price, secure, and convert freight opportunities across Canada, cross-border, and intra-United States networks. The permanent role focuses on profitability, win rates, responsiveness, and customer service. You will use market intelligence, transportation costs, carrier feedback, and historical lane data to guide decisions. Collaboration spans carriers, customers, Sales, Operations, Track & Trace, Finance, and Leadership.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor portals, spot boards, inboxes, and freight opportunity channels
- Develop competitive quotes aligned with pricing and margin objectives
- Source carrier capacity and negotiate competitive rates




- Coordinate awarded freight through assignment and initial dispatch
- Record quotes, interactions, decisions, and win-loss reporting

Requirements:
- Three to five years in transportation, logistics, or freight operations
- Experience with spot freight, pricing, and carrier sourcing
- Understanding of North American domestic and cross-border markets
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency with TMS, pricing platforms, portals, CRM, and Microsoft Office Apply transportation market knowledge, profitable pricing, and carrier relationships to grow spot freight performance in Cambridge.
