Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills,



qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

About the role We’re looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our growing team

What you’ll do here:

Design and develop end-to-end AI solutions to tackle real business cases.

Lead the exploration, implementation, and testing of new NLP solutions.

Transform complex and unstructured data into actionable insights and outcomes.

Use analytics to understand software usage patterns and give recommendations on improvements

Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions.

Collaborate with data scientists, developers, designers, in a cross-functional team to build software in AWS.

Act as a technical lead and reference for data science team.

Coach and mentor junior members of the team

Lead and enforce data science best practices: coding, peer-review, experimentation and testing.

What you bring to the table:

Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (computer science, mathematics, AI, engineering, or a related field),



or any combination of equivalent education and experience.

At least 5 years of experience in data science applications and product development, with a strong focus on NLP and machine learning.

Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) - integrating with APIs and evaluation techniques.

Experience with developing, deploying, and maintaining software in cloud environments (solid preference for AWS).

Multi-platform production experience with the following: Python, GitHub, AWS, and CI/CD tools.

Expert-level understanding of the underlying theory of machine learning.

Can focus on vaguely defined issues requiring the application of a creative approach.

Ability to collaborate with others and to coach junior members of staff.

Enthusiasm for teamwork.

Robust communication, time management and work organization skills.

No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
