The Commercial Insurance Underwriting Manager leads profitability, growth, distribution, and sales management for the Commercial Insurance book. The manager oversees multiple multiline underwriters, partners with Territory Underwriting Managers and Lines of Business, and supports growth and profitability objectives. Responsibilities span underwriting strategy, producer relationships, staff development, and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee premium, retention, profitability, and expense management
- Execute new and renewal underwriting strategies
- Manage referrals outside branch underwriting authority




- Develop Commercial Insurance sales and marketing strategies
- Coach, mentor, and develop Commercial Insurance staff

Requirements:

- 10+ years of insurance industry experience
- Strong middle market property and casualty knowledge
- Experience managing brokers, agents, and aggregators
- Solid technical underwriting background
- Leadership, communication, and strategic relationship-building skills
