As Principal AI Engineer, you will drive AI/ML initiatives across Sun Life’s Canada IT Platforms and Engineering Domain. You will design large-scale systems using GenAI models, agentic systems, RAG techniques, Python, Java, and AWS. The role combines architectural leadership, deployment strategy, and engineering mentorship.

Key Responsibilities:

- Define technical vision and strategy for AI/ML initiatives
- Design, deploy, and manage AWS API infrastructure
- Guide architecture aligned with the platform capabilities roadmap
- Own deployment strategy and CI/CD practices across deliverables




- Mentor engineers and establish technical excellence standards

Requirements:

- At least 10 years of engineering experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant field
- Experience with GenAI, agentic systems, RAG, and production-scale patterns
- Deep expertise in Python, Java, AWS, and cloud infrastructure
- Advanced DevOps, CI/CD, containerization, and orchestration proficiency
