Lead automation and controls at Saputo’s St. Marys location, programming PLCs and operator interfaces for plant improvement projects. Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this Automation Controls Lead specializes in automation, control, and electricity. You will guide colleagues while developing and implementing projects within budget. The position supports compliant automated systems, continuous improvement, and customer-focused engineering work at the plant.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan, manage, and support plant optimization projects
- Troubleshoot control issues with external automation contractors
- Program PLCs, instrumentation, and operator interfaces
- Update technical documentation, PLCs,



and essential licenses
- Prepare budget estimates with other departments

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or automated production engineering
- Qualified Engineers of Ontario standing or provincial equivalent
- Two to five years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC and HMI programming
- Knowledge of Ethernet, DeviceNet, Modbus, Profinet, and ASI networks
