Lead PLC programming and plant optimization at Saputo’s St. Marys location, specializing in automation, control, and electrical systems. Monday to Friday scheduling applies.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Automation Controls Lead supports improvement projects and automated-system compliance. The position requires PLC, HMI, and instrumentation expertise. You will guide colleagues, coordinate implementation, and collaborate with engineering, maintenance, external automation contractors, and OT/IT teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and manage plant improvement and optimization projects
- Troubleshoot control issues with external automation contractors
- Program PLCs, HMIs, and plant instrumentation systems
- Update technical documentation, licenses,



and troubleshooting procedures
- Prepare budget estimates with other departments

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or relevant training
- Qualified Engineers of Ontario standing or provincial equivalent
- Two to five years of relevant experience
- Allen Bradley PLC and HMI programming knowledge
- Knowledge of Ethernet, DeviceNet, Modbus, Profinet, and ASI
