As a Recreation Assistant under the Recreation Manager, you will assist in developing and implementing diverse therapeutic programs tailored to the residents’ needs. Your role encompasses engaging in person-centered activities, collaborating with the team on resident assessments, and ensuring quality care aligned with Optima's values. This position requires a proactive approach to maintaining meaningful connections with residents and facilitating their participation in various recreational events.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and deliver person-centered recreation programs




• Coordinate and implement engaging activities for residents
• Develop assessments and goals for individual resident profiles
• Monitor resident progress and recommend appropriate programs
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
Requirements:
• One year experience in recreation programming
• Certification in CPR and First Aid required
• Food Safe and Serving It Right certifications
• Creative approach to recreation activities
• Flexibility to work various shifts
