Dual Housekeeping Team Lead & Attendant

Located just 15 minutes south of downtown Montreal, within the Mohawk territory of Kahnawake, Playground is an internationally renowned gaming and entertainment destination currently undergoing a major expansion. With new gaming floors, a luxury hotel, and elevated dining experiences, we are continuing to redefine entertainment in the region.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated team member to become a Dual Housekeeping Team Lead & Attendant. This role combines operational leadership and floor coordination with hands-on custodial maintenance to ensure a clean, hygienically safe, and welcoming setting for our guests and team members.

Schedule & Role Structure:

Full-time 3:00pm-11:00pm (5 shifts per week: 2 Team Lead shifts on Friday/Saturday, 3 Custodian shifts with flexible scheduling).

Probation Period:

6 months.

Training Schedule & Compensation:

- Weeks 1-2: Full Custodian shifts ($19.50/hr)
- Weeks 3-4: Custodian Shifts / Start Team Lead Training, not Scheduled as the Lead ($21.00/hr)
- Post-Training: $21.00/hr base pay for 60 days then, $2.00/hr Team Lead premium on applicable shifts after the initial 60 days

Key Responsibilities

Team Lead Shifts

- Collaborate with the Housekeeping Manager to identify opportunities for improving custodial services
- Coordinate and conduct floor inspections to ensure full compliance with safety and sanitation policies
- Monitor stock room inventory, review daily task checklists, and prepare end-of-shift reports
- Assist with organizing weekly task outlines and conducting team training
- Respond promptly to customer requests while promoting teamwork and staff recognition





Attendant Shifts

- Perform hands-on cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming (including using backpack vacuums for extended periods)
- Maintain restrooms, offices, poker tables, staff rooms, walls, windows, and light fixtures
- Safely operate and maintain departmental cleaning equipment
- Identify and report any facility damages or maintenance needs

Qualifications & Requirements

- Bilingual in English and French (written and spoken)
- Previous experience as a Team Lead, Supervisor, or an equivalent leadership role (ideally in a hotel or hospitality environment)
- Computer proficiency (Excel required) alongside strong organizational skills
- Ability to stand for long periods, bend, kneel, reach, and lift up to 20 lbs / heavy items such as furniture or cleaning equipment
- Reliable, trustworthy, proactive, organized, and adaptable in a quick-paced setting

Nous recherchons un membre de l'équipe motivé pour occuper le poste de Chef d'équipe et préposé à l'entretien ménager (double rôle). Ce rôle combine le leadership opérationnel et la coordination sur le terrain avec un travail d'entretien ménager pratique afin d'assurer un environnement propre, hygiénique, sécuritaire et accueillant pour nos clients et les membres de notre équipe.

Horaire et structure du rôle :

Temps plein, 15h00 à 23h00 (5 quarts par semaine : 2 quarts en tant que chef d'équipe le vendredi et samedi, et 3 quarts en tant que préposé avec horaire adaptable).

Période d'essai :

6 mois.

Programme de formation et rémunération :

- Semaines 1-2 : Quarts de préposé à temps plein (19,50 $/h)
- Semaines 3-4 : Quarts de préposé / Début de la formation de chef d'équipe, non planifié comme chef d'équipe (21,00 $/h)
- Après la formation : Salaire de base de 21,00 $/h pendant 60 jours, puis prime de chef d'équipe de 2,00 $/h sur les quarts applicables après les 60 jours initiaux
