Advance your career as a Utility Technician with the Regional District of Central Kootenay. This full-time position focuses on maintaining and upgrading water systems in the Creston and East Shore areas.
You will collaborate closely with Utility Technicians and senior operators in the Water Services team. Applicants should have three years of direct experience with water systems, specifically in Class 2 water treatment using UF membrane filtration. Key skills include productive communication, familiarity with safety regulations, and effective teamwork in both independent and collaborative settings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain water services for 5 systems
• Assist with system upgrades and technical support




• Follow RDCK policies and safety regulations
• Understand technical manuals and engineering drawings
• Communicate effectively with the team and stakeholders
Requirements:
• 3 years' experience with water systems
• EOCP Water Distribution Level 2 certification
• EOCP Water Treatment Level 2 certification
• Valid Class 5 BC Drivers License
• Knowledge of safety protocols including Confined Space Entry
