Independent Reseller Partner Calgary International Airport (YYC), Alberta Independent contractor | Base + Commission | Incorporated business required About Flix Flix operates FlixBus and Greyhound, one of the largest intercity bus networks in North America and Europe. We connect travellers to hundreds of destinations through a technology-driven platform and a network of local partners who bring our product to customers on the ground. The Opportunity We are opening a ticket sales and passenger assistance location at Calgary International Airport and are looking for an established transportation professional to run it as an independent Reseller. This is a business-owner role: you operate the location, manage your own team, and grow ticket sales through the traveller traffic at one of Canada's busiest airports. You earn commission on every ticket and eligible add-on sold, so your results directly drive your income. What You Will Do
• Run daily operations. Open, staff and manage the location, including scheduling, cash handling, end-of-shift and end-of-day reporting, and keeping the space clean, safe and accessible.
• Drive sales. Sell tickets and add-ons (seat selection, extra bags) through the Flix booking platform, convert airport foot traffic into bookings, and build repeat and referral business.
• Lead and train your team. Hire, train and supervise your own staff to proficiency, and keep training records as the Reseller Agreement requires.
• Deliver outstanding service. Assist passengers with boarding, baggage and questions, including customers with disabilities and service animals, and treat every customer fairly and with respect.
• Collaborate with Flix. Work with your Regional Sales & Agency Manager and our Field Support Team, report incidents and equipment issues promptly, and share local insight on demand, schedules and opportunities.
• Represent the brand. Keep signage and marketing materials current, and follow airport rules and regulations in coordination with the airport authority. Who We Are Looking For The ideal partner is an operator and a seller in one: someone who has run transportation or travel-related operations, understands passengers, and is motivated by building something of their own. Must have
• A registered, incorporated business (or the ability to incorporate before signing), with a valid GST/HST number.
• Several years of hands-on experience in transportation, such as bus, coach, shuttle, rail, airline, airport services, travel or ticketing.
• Proven experience managing people and day-to-day operations, including scheduling, cash control and reporting.
• A track record of sales results, or robust customer-facing experience with revenue responsibility.
• Ability to obtain a Certificate of Insurance meeting Flix requirements, and to provide a void cheque or bank letter for commission payments.
• Ability to obtain any airport access and security clearances required for the location.
• Comfort with computers and web-based booking tools. A computer, internet access and a printer are the core equipment needed. Strong assets
• Existing relationships at YYC, with airlines, ground handlers, hotels, shuttle or tourism operators in Calgary, Banff and the surrounding region.
• Knowledge of accessibility obligations and customer service standards for passenger transportation.
• Multilingual ability, particularly for international travellers.
• Experience with point-of-sale systems and reconciling daily sales. Personal attributes
• Entrepreneurial and self-directed: you take ownership of results without being managed day to day.
• Reliable and detail-oriented, with integrity around cash, customer data and compliance.
• Calm, service-minded and resourceful when travellers are stressed, delayed or unsure.
• A natural relationship builder who sees every traveller and every local partner as an opportunity. What Success Looks Like
• A well-run, clean and welcoming location with accurate daily cash and sales reporting.
• Steady growth in tickets sold, add-on attach rate and repeat customers.
• A trained, confident team with documented training and no compliance gaps.
• Strong relationships with airport stakeholders and local partners that generate additional demand. What We Provide
• Commission on every ticket sold plus commissionable ancillaries, paid monthly.
• Access to the Flix booking platform and Agency Portal for bookings, invoices and sales reports.
