Role Description The Sales Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based in Calgary, AB, responsible for preparing accurate quotes and proposals for fencing projects. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing customer inquiries, conducting site visits or assessments, and gathering measurements and project details to develop cost estimates. The role involves collaborating with customers to understand their requirements, explaining product options and installation processes, and following up on estimates to support sales conversions. The Sales Estimator works closely with operations and installation teams to ensure estimates align with timelines, materials, and labor needs. This position also supports maintaining customer records,



assisting with inbound calls and inquiries, and contributing to the overall growth and professionalism of The Fence Store. Qualifications
• Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to interact professionally with clients, understand project needs, and provide clear information.
• Demonstrated Sales and Business Development abilities to follow up on leads, support closing opportunities, and build long-term customer relationships.
• Proficiency in Project Estimation, including measuring sites, assessing material and labor requirements, and preparing accurate, detailed quotes.
• Basic math and analytical skills, with attention to detail and the ability to interpret drawings or site plans.
• Comfort working in office and occasionally outdoors, with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation considered an asset.
• Experience in construction, fencing, landscaping, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Ability to use common office and estimating software; familiarity with CRM or project management tools is an advantage.
• Organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to manage multiple estimates and customer requests simultaneously.
