Experience:
8–10 Years Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with solid expertise in Oracle Database Administration, advanced PL/SQL development, database performance tuning, and AWS cloud database services. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience migrating on-premises databases to AWS, optimizing high-volume transactional databases, and supporting database deployments across multiple environments.

Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with application development teams on data modeling, schema design, and the development and deployment of PL/SQL packages, procedures, triggers, and views.
• Perform SQL query tuning, execution plan analysis, and index optimization to improve database performance in high-throughput transactional environments.
• Analyze database performance using Oracle diagnostic tools, including AWR, ASH, and ADDM.
• Manage database release automation, code reviews, and schema migrations across development, staging, and production environments.
• Monitor database health, troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, resolve lock contention and deadlocks, and investigate database latency.
• Plan and execute on-premises database migrations to AWS cloud environments using AWS Database Migration Service (DMS), Schema Conversion Tool (SCT), and native migration utilities.
• Administer AWS managed database services, including Amazon RDS for Oracle/PostgreSQL and Amazon Aurora.
• Support PostgreSQL database administration, schema design, and performance optimization.
• Participate in database capacity planning, failover testing,



disaster recovery planning, and production support.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, application, and offshore teams to support database maintenance and operational activities.
• Provide production deployment and maintenance support during weekends and after regular business hours, as required. Mandatory Skills
• Oracle Database Administration: 8–10 years of experience administering Oracle databases, particularly Oracle 12c and 19c or later.
• Oracle Application DBA & PL/SQL: Strong experience in application database support, advanced PL/SQL programming, packages, procedures, triggers, and views.
• Performance Tuning: Expertise in SQL tuning, execution plan analysis, indexing, AWR, ASH, ADDM, and database performance diagnostics.
• AWS Cloud Databases: Hands-on administration of Amazon RDS for Oracle/PostgreSQL and Amazon Aurora.
• PostgreSQL: Working knowledge of PostgreSQL architecture, schema design, administration, and performance optimization.
• Cloud Database Migration: Proven experience migrating on-premises databases to AWS using AWS DMS, SCT, or native utilities.
• Database CI/CD & Release Management: Experience with database deployment automation, schema versioning, code reviews, and Agile development teams.
• Production & Offshore Support: Ability to coordinate with offshore teams and support production deployments, maintenance windows, and incident resolution. Nice-to-Have Skills
• Oracle Exadata administration and performance tuning, including Smart Scan and Hybrid Columnar Compression.
• Shell scripting using Bash and automation using Python.
• Relevant AWS database or Oracle certifications.
