Role Description The Salesperson is a full-time, on-site role based at Forward Furniture’s Calgary, AB showroom. This role focuses on welcoming customers, understanding their needs, and guiding them through product options to help them furnish their homes with confidence. Day-to-day responsibilities include demonstrating key product features, explaining pricing and financing options, preparing quotes and invoices, and processing in-store and online-assisted sales. The Salesperson will maintain a clean, organized showroom, update product displays, and support inventory checks to ensure accurate availability for customers.



This position also involves following up on inquiries, coordinating with the operations team on deliveries and after-sales support, and contributing to a pressure-free, service-oriented shopping environment. Qualifications
• Customer service and sales skills, including the ability to build rapport, ask effective questions, and provide clear, helpful guidance to diverse customers.
• Communication and interpersonal skills, with strong listening abilities and confidence in explaining product features, financing options, and delivery services.
• Basic digital and point-of-sale skills, including comfort with using tablets or computers for inventory checks, online orders, and payment processing.
• Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple customers, maintain showroom standards, and follow up on leads efficiently.
• Interest in home furnishings, interior aesthetics, and design trends, with the ability to suggest complementary products and solutions.
• Ability to work on-site for full-time shifts, including weekends or evenings as required, and to stand, walk, and move products within reasonable limits.
• Previous retail, hospitality, or customer-facing experience is preferred but not strictly required; willingness to learn and adapt is essential.
• Reliable, skilled conduct with a focus on ethical sales practices and alignment with Forward Furniture’s customer-first and community-minded values.
