Invoke is a consulting and innovation firm focused on delivering Intelligent Automation solutions that solve real operational challenges. We partner with organizations across industries to design and implement scalable RPA and AI-driven workflows that improve efficiency, accuracy, and reliability. Our teams work hands-on with clients to automate complex processes across a range of systems, from modern applications to legacy environments. Whether it’s streamlining high-volume workflows or improving data quality and consistency, our goal is to build automation and AI solutions that are practical, maintainable, and impactful. This is a deliberately hybrid role. You’ll lead the hands-on development of a reusable intelligent automation platform designed to be configured and deployed across multiple client engagements, then take that platform into the field and own its integration with real client environments. You’ll move between building new capabilities into the platform and applying them to specific client needs. We’re looking for someone with deep engineering expertise who is equally comfortable building products and working directly with clients. You should be able to lead technical conversations, understand how solutions apply to real business problems, and help client teams successfully adopt what you build through hands-on training and onboarding. Roles/Responsibilities
• Lead the build of our intelligent automation platform, combining deterministic workflow orchestration, RPA, agentic AI workflows, RAG-based retrieval, and OCR/document extraction into systems that run reliably in production.
• Build and maintain integrations into client systems, from modern APIs, enterprise platforms like SAP Concur, Oracle Fusion, Netsuite, to legacy desktop applications.
• Own technical delivery on client implementations, sit with client teams to map their actual processes onto the platform, and act as tech lead, making the calls.
• Act as a consultant on the ground: train client teams, run workshops, and help them build the internal skills to run and extend what's been implemented. Qualifications
• 3+ Experience in a hybrid technical and client-facing role: you've built things, then been the one implementing, explaining, or troubleshooting them directly with clients.
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs and AI agents: prompt engineering, tool/function calling, multi-step agentic workflows, RAG pipelines, and structured outputs.
• 5+ Years of strong, full-stack software engineering fundamentals: comfortable across the frontend (React) and backend (Python, PostgreSQL)
• Experience managing projects, scoping work, sequencing delivery, and keeping a client engagement on track end to end.
• A solid communicator, comfortable leading workshops, presenting technical decisions, and training non-technical stakeholders. Nice To Have
• RPA experience, ideally Python-based RPA rather than point-and-click tools like UiPath.
• Domain knowledge in areas like finance, accounting, and insurance: you'll ramp faster on what a client is actually asking for.
• Hands-on experience with Temporal or a similar workflow orchestration engine.
• A good eye for UX, someone who knows how to design usable interfaces for non-technical people. It's a rare trait among engineers, and one we specifically value.
• Familiarity with LLM observability and evaluation tooling: tracing, latency/cost budgets, prompt versioning, and model routing across providers.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerized deployment (Docker, Kubernetes, or serverless).
