Company Description

Headquartered in Montreal, Detroit and Munich, Vention helps manufacturers automate their operations in record time with the only hardware and software AI-powered platform built for the factory floor. Our technology powers over 25,000 machines across 4,000 factories across 5 continents and we have the privilege to work with a significant proportion of Fortune 500 manufacturers, from space rockets, to electrical cars, to robotics.

At Vention, you’ll work alongside driven and talented people who care deeply about their craft and the impact they create. We’re a team of high achievers who grow through meaningful work, solving complex challenges, learning fast, and seeing the results of our efforts every day.

We move quickly and aim high, but we do it together with care, collaboration, and respect. Our culture celebrates diverse perspectives and supports your growth through intentional development, strong leadership, and opportunities to make a real difference.

Vention is looking for Business Development Representatives (BDRs) to launch their careers within our exceptionally high-performing growth and sales team. Join us to kick-start your career and learn the ins and outs of the sales profession.

Our BDRs are the primary point of contact for all new prospects wishing to discuss Vention’s products and services. This role is essential to the company, as the team’s objective is to have engaging conversations with our future clients to uncover their challenges and needs, helping them determine the best-suited Vention solution.

to qualify leads and prospects, using dedicated tools and tailored coaching.
- Inbound Lead Nurturing: Generate new revenue opportunities by informing our inbound prospects and leads about Vention's offerings.
- Proactive Engagement: Enjoy reaching out to people without fear of cold prospecting ideal customer profiles (ICPs), or convincing gatekeepers and colleagues to refer you to the right decision-maker.
- Needs Assessment: Qualify prospect needs and challenges, effectively mapping them to Vention’s product and service offerings.
- Meeting Generation: Schedule highly qualified meetings for senior sales experts.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Account Executives and the Marketing team to execute sales strategies and processes.
- Domain & Product Mastery: Become an industry expert and develop deep product mastery.
- Goal Achievement: Consistently hit (and exceed) monthly and quarterly pipeline generation and booking targets.
- Brand Ambassadorship: Conduct yourself professionally and represent Vention in a favorable light.
- Relationship Building: Build strong, long-lasting client relationships.
- Performance Tracking: Weekly reporting on your key metrics, performance, and results.
- Continuous Improvement:

Proactively seek ways to improve results and collaborate with sales and marketing leadership to implement them.

What You Bring to the Table

- Relevant Experience: 2+ years of relevant business development experience; ideally with a technical product (software or hardware).
- Track Record: Proven track record of high performance.
- Mindset: Intellectual agility and natural curiosity.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Interpersonal Traits: Passionate, engaging, and genuinely interested. Your natural curiosity and high energy are among your key assets.

What We Offer

- Career pathing: Real opportunities to grow through personalized development plans, bi-annual employee reviews, and mentorship program
- Professional development: Continuous training in performance management, inclusive leadership, leadership operating model, team building, and giving/receiving feedback
- Gender diversity & inclusion: Pay equity reviews, inclusive policies, and a Women’s Employee Resource Group offering networking, mentorship, and quarterly learning sessions.
- Hybrid work: Enjoy flexibility with our hybrid model, allowing you to work from home on select days.
