Summary

We are looking for a skilled and reliable landscape gardener/maintenance lead hand with strong knowledge of plant, tree and shrub care. This is a hands-on role for someone who can lead by example, support a crew, and handle softscape installations such as planting trees and shrubs as well as property maintenance.

Responsibilities

- Planting trees, shrubs, perennials, and seasonal flowers
- Garden bed preparation, edging, cultivating, and mulching
- Perform and assist with landscape maintenance (mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, clean-ups)
- Prune trees and shrubs correctly based on species and season
- Identify basic plant health issues (disease, pests, stress) and take appropriate action
- Installing sod, soil, and other landscape materials
- Ensure quality workmanship and attention to detail on all properties
- Operate and maintain landscaping tools and equipment
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites





Requirements

- Min 5 years of professional gardening experience
- Strong knowledge of plant and tree care practices
- Comfortable with pruning, planting, and general horticulture tasks
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in office
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Horticultural or landscaping education/certification considered an asset

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
